Recording, storing, and analyzing ultrasound files taken with the Ultrawave 170 or other ultrasonic device is fast and easy with SDT's AVM Ultranalysis Kit.

Use the diagram below to locate the headphone output of your SDT 170.  A Y-Splitter is provided to allow connectivity to headphones and digital recorder simultaneously.

Set up

  • install AVM Ultranalysis software
  • install digital recorder software
  • connect digital recorder to SDT170
  • connect headphone to Y-Splitter
  • connect ultrasound sensor

Record Sound Files

  • set SDT170 sensitivity accordingly
  • push record on digital recorder to capture sound file
  • push again to stop recording
  • record dBµV to SDT170 memory

Transfer Sound File to PC

  • connect digital recorder to USB port
  • launch digital recorder software
  • select the sound files on recorder
  • save files to your PC directory

Visualize Sound Files

  • launch AVM Ultranalysis software
  • from File menu choose open signal
  • use utilities to view time and spectrum
