An important application that has ultrasound inspectors buzzing is the ability of SDT 170MM+ to listen for trouble inside high voltage electrical cabinets without opening the panels. There is growing concern about safety issues and the danger of sudden and deadly arc-flash. Ultrasound inspections can be done frequently so you can remain vigilant between thermo graphic inspections.

The SDT170M+ Digital Electrical Inspector is configured with the 21" Flexible Sensor and the Parabolic Dish with Laser Sighting to provide maximum access and SAFETY for inspection of switch gear panels, substations, transformers, and T&D lines.

With the Flexible Sensor safely scan around the outside of panels for arcing and tracking. Inspect substations for corona discharge from distances exceeding 150' with the Parabolic Dish. Use the integral laser pointer to pinpoint the source of damaged insulators.
