Electrical systems are subject to faults commonly referred to as "arcing", "tracking", and "corona".  These faults can be identified either thermally, ultrasonically, or both. Ultrasonic inspections can be done from a safe distance using either the Parabolic Dish with laser sight or the EDS Extended Distance Sensor. 

With the Flexible Sensor safely scan around the outside of panels for arcing and tracking; potential hazards associated with deadly arc flash.  The Flex Sensor provides unmatched safety since electrical panels are checked with closed doors.

The 170M is the first level data collection for the 170 detector. The 1000pt memory is generic and non-transferable. An upgrade to 170M+ permits data upload to .txt and .xls file format. An upgrade to 170MD gives full data base control including PC-based route creation, download one or more routes to handheld, upload data to PC for trending, alarming, and tracking.

Safety First: The flexible sensor allows safer inspection of high voltage switch. Arcing and tracking can be heard through the panels so there is no need to open the door and expose the inspector to high voltage.
